Mike Davey & Angela Walter raised £4337.45!

Mike Davey and Angela Walter from Barnstaple teamed up to take on a personal challenge to raise money for Care for Kids North Devon, by hosting and participating in as many fund-raising events as possible throughout 2017. Between them they have completed: the London Marathon, the North Devon Half Marathon, the Exe Valley Tri, Cotswolds Classic Middle Distance, and The Prudential Ride London Surrey 100. Angela also took on the Exeter Half marathon and Mike took on the Croyde Triathlon & 4k swim at Wimbleball Lake. All these events as well as hosting a Mince Pie Mingle, Quiz night, Vintage tea party, Sainsbury’s bucket collection and a 60’s 70’s 80’s Disco!

All their hard-work and gruelling training has paid off and the grand total raised was a staggering £4337.45! Funds raised will go towards helping Care for Kids North Devon provide continued support to families who have a child diagnosed with a life-threatening illness/ condition, and their refurbishment projects on the Caroline Thorpe Ward.
