Summer 2018 is nearly over and what a year we have had so far!
Here is a round up of our fantastic fundraisers and events that have taken place this year and some info on upcoming fundraising opportunities.
Thanks to the customers of Tesco, Care for Kids ND came out top in the Tesco Bags of Help scheme. The £4000.00 we received has gone towards the improvements to Isolation Room 5 on the Caroline Thorpe Ward, making the dream a reality.

Your vote certainly did count and we came first in the Asda Foundation Green Token Giving scheme, earning us a fantastic £500.00.
A huge thank you to everyone who voted. .
The 2nd CFK Barnstaple 10k took place on Sunday 15th July with 299 finishers. A total of £ 7,300 has been raised so far with sponsorship still coming in..

Our Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 team for 2018 –
Mike, Paul, Mark, Cameron, Steve, Sally, Jacky & Angelo – rode through wind and rain to finish the 100 mile route through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside, with the big finish on The Mall in central London.
They have raised so far £2475.98
Care For Kids Tough Mudder Team!
Ben, Jacky, Angelo & Ncki took on the Tough Mudder challenge on Sunday 19th August. 10 miles and 20 obstacles – not for the faint hearted! The team have raised over £1130.00.
Beth Porter signed up and completed her skydive in July, raising a fantastic £515 for the charity.

MINCE PIE MINGLE
Get ready to host your very own Mince Pie Mingle
Join us in raising funds this December by inviting everyone you know to a Mince Pie Mingle. Your event can take place anywhere and in any guise – be it a coffee morning at work, cocktails and nibbles with the girls (or boys!) or even a non-uniform day at school. Anything goes, and it doesn’t even have to include mince pies!! Just have a laugh and raise much needed funds for Care for Kids ND.
