The World’s biggest Half Marathon – are you up for the challenge?
Our charity ballot is now closed and the places have been allocated. If you’d like to sponsor our team, head to our fundraising page for more information.
Whether you are seasoned runner or a complete beginner, this famous half marathon could be your next challenge.
You’ll be setting off in the heart of Newcastle, passing some of the iconic sights of the city including the Tyne Bridge and crossing the finish line in the coastal town of South Shields.
Why run for Care For Kids North Devon?
By choosing to be a part of our team you are raising vital funds to enable us to continue our work supporting families with a child diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and with enhancement work to the Caroline Thorpe Ward. Without the support of people like you, our charity simply would not exist.

Staying over night
As soon as you have been offered a place and accepted we advise you book your accommodation. Lots of people will be doing the same and places will get booked up quickly. The best value hotels are a metro ride away from the start or finish line. University accommodation is available at reasonable prices. Do your research well and check their location carefully.
