Get your children involved – they may have visited the Caroline Thorpe Ward and used the entertainment we have supplied – liked what they saw? Put us forward as a Charity of the Year for their ‘school council’ or Assembly collection from school plays, do a sponsored ‘something’. It really all helps to spread the word and the children love getting involved.
About our work
Care for Kids North Devon provides instant financial assistance for local families with a child diagnosed with a life-threatening illness e.g. a cancer, a heart condition, cystic fibrosis or a head injury. Since the charity was started in 2009, we have helped over 100 families across North Devon and have also done what we can can to enhance the Caroline Thorpe Children’s Ward with little extra’s that make life more bearable on the ward, for example a new playstation and wii, large sofa, custom made blinds and our next project; re-vamping the parents room!
The more funds that are raised for us, the more we can do to help a child close to you, which is why we are now looking for ambassadors in the villages of North Devon to help support us and promote awareness for the charity
