Barnstaple 10k will be a virtual running event again this year.

The date of this year’s 10k is Sunday 4 July. With this being a week after the proposed lifting of lockdown, we are too nervous to go full steam ahead with a physical event. As a small charity there is a lot of work involved in organising an event the size of Barnstaple 10k. With lots of uncertainty remaining about the roadmap to recovery from Covid-19, we aren’t confident that the government’s dates won’t change over the coming months.

We’re sure you’re disappointed, but don’t despair! We are still holding a fantastic virtual event and you’ll have the opportunity to use our finish line and collect your medal and T-shirt from us in Rock Park.

  • A finishers medal for all entries received before 20 June

  • Technical race T-shirt also available

  • Prizes for fastest male, female and fastest team

We are very grateful that our sponsors are continuing to support the Barnstaple Virtual 10k 2021 – thank you to Brewer, Harding and Rowe Solicitors (Headline sponsor) and Advanced Pallet Systems.

How does a virtual run work?

Virtual running events are really simple. You can walk or run your 10km in a location of your choosing and at any time during Sunday 4 July. Record your distance and time using a running app such as Strava.

Email your result to us by the end of the day on Sunday 4 July. Your result will be displayed on our Event website.

How to enter

Entries cost £12. You will receive a finishers medal on completion of your 10k.

You can order a race t-shirt for just £10.

You must enter by 20 June 2021 to guarantee a medal and/or t-shirt.

Automatic entry transfers

Everyone who had already entered the Care for Kids Barnstaple 10k 2020 (which was cancelled) is automatically transferred to take part in the Virtual Barnstaple 10k 2021.

Email if you have any problems.
