Barnstaple and District Roundtable has donated £428.60 to Care for Kids North Devon from the proceeds of their Santa Sleigh collection.

Each December, members of the club and collectors from worthy charities, help to collect money covering every district of the Barnstaple area. This year the club raised over £11,492, which is up from the previous year.

Andrew Ridley highlighted, “I’m immensely proud of what we have achieved and would like to thank everyone who has taken part in the Santa Sleigh. A special thanks goes to our sponsors Richard Brend, John Howard and his team at Taw Ford for loaning the 4×4, Blue Orange Signs at South Molton, and The Voice FM. My biggest thanks go to the residents and people of Barnstaple and the surrounding area for their generosity and support. We have already started planning for this Christmas in making the sleigh even better for the people of Barnstaple.”

Jacky Massos, Manager of Care for Kids North Devon, says: “I would like to thank Barnstaple Roundtable and all those who gave up their time to support the Santa Sleigh this year. We are very pleased to receive a donation from the amazing amount you collected. Well done to everyone who made a donation as Santa passed through your streets last December, spreading his usual cheer and excitement. Thank you.”

Roundtable has been going for nearly sixty years in the Barnstaple area and is targeted at young men between the ages of 18 to 45, who might be involved professional services or trades and want to give something back to their local community. Currently the club is looking to recruit new members. If you are interested please email Barnstaple Roundtable.
