“Last year the Barnstaple 10K raised over £7,200 for our charity – it was fantastic! We’re excited to be at a new venue for the start and finish this year but don’t worry, the route is mainly the same. Entries are now open and we’re offering an Early Bird discount again, so sign up early to take advantage of our offer.”
Jacky Massos, Care for Kids North Devon
The 10K will start at Barnstaple Rugby Club, with a loop around Bridge Field before heading out onto the Tarka Trail towards Pottington. The race continues over the Taw Bridge, which is the steepest part of the course. Runners will follow the Tarka Trail to Anchorwood before turning back towards the town, crossing the river again at LongBridge and making their way to Rock Park. Following a loop of the park, the race will return back to the town square along the riverside and continue alongside the river back to the rugby club.
The course is predominately off road using the Tarka Trail and public pavements; it is a flat, fast course perfect for a first race as well as an ideal opportunity to gain a personal best. Approximately measured 10K.
Early Bird entry £24 unaffiliated runners; £22 affiliated runners.
Standard entry £26 unaffiliated runners; £24 affiliated runners.
