“We are so excited to relaunch our Barnstaple 10K, after hosting virtual events for the last two years. It will be so good to be back! There’s a medal, there’s a tshirt, there are prizes for the winners AND it will raise loads of money for our charity. Even if you aren’t a runner yet, there’s plenty of time to train between now and July, so join us!”
Jacky Massos, Care for Kids North Devon
The 10K will start at Park school on the sports field, and then meander around the historic Rock Park. The race continues along Taw Vale and the Strand using the Tarka Trail and over the Taw Bridge, which is the steepest part of the course. The race will return back to the town square along the riverside and continue back into Rock Park finishing at Park School.
The course is predominately off road using the Tarka Trail and public pavements; it is a flat, fast course perfect for a first race as well as an ideal opportunity to gain a personal best. Approximately measured 10K.
Online entries close Monday 4 July 2022, 12pm or when race reaches capacity.
*Entries after 20th June will not receive a t-shirt or be guaranteed a medal (sorry, we have to place our orders well in advance)
**AFFILIATED fee – Member of a UKA or ARC affiliated running club (tri-clubs and running groups or communities are not eligible for affiliated entry)**
All proceeds from the run will go towards our charity. We provide financial support to North Devon families who have a child diagnosed with a life threatening illness or condition. We also carry out enhancements at the children’s ward at North Devon District Hospital.
