Our Christmas auctions raised over £1,200! Thanks to the generosity of North Devon businesses and keen bidders who took away some amazing goodies.
Throughout November and December, we held a series of auctions on Facebook. We had some incredible prizes including a dryrobe, a hang-gliding session, quad biking vouchers, and Christmas hampers. We also had lots of vouchers to use in local restaurants and shops in North Devon.
Massive thanks to the following businesses:
The Commodore Hotel, dryrobe, Lesley Tucker Reflexology, Poundland, Frame, Queen Anne’s on the Strand, Scott Cinema, Harmonize Holistic Therapies, Fly Like a Bird, Fullam Chinese Restaurant, The Pyne Arms, Lilicos, Tarka Fitness & Therapy, RHS Rosemoor, Ruby & Rose, John How Ltd, Unique + United Photoghraphy, Sainsbury’s, MF Pilates, Johnstone’s Decorating Centre, Studio 92, Tea by the Taw, Heddens of Woodtown Farm, Pull the Pin rum, The Bike Shed, Tesco, ASDA, Home Sweet Home, Gibbs Property Management, Leafwood Christmas Trees, Keypitts Off-road Adventures, and Twigs.
Jacky Massos (Charity Manager) says: “We were inundated with support from local businesses. They donated so generously despite the difficult times they’ve been facing. I’d just like to thank each and every one of those who got involved. £1,200 will help us continue our work supporting North Devon families in need. Each family we support is awarded an initial grant of £800. This helps with loss of earnings and travel costs incurred when visiting specialist children’s hospitals. The amount we’ve raised from the auctions will make life a little easier for a family who is struggling with the awful reality of having a child diagnosed with a life threatening illness.”
