Jacky’s 1,000 mile challenge

From Lands End to John’O’Groats to mark 10th anniversary year

Congratulations to Jacky Massos, who has just completed a 1,000 mile bike ride to mark the 10th anniversary of Care for Kids North Devon.

Our Charity Manager, Jacky, cycled from Lands End in Cornwall to John 0’Groats in Scotland in just 14 days. No stranger to challenges, Jacky has taken on Tough Mudder runs and Iron Man competitions in the past. Last month, she got back in the saddle to raise funds for our charity, which she founded 10 years ago.

So far, Jacky has raised £1,000 for her efforts! You can boost this amount by donating to her Virgin Money Giving page.

Jacky says: “Our small local charity with big ideas helps local families who have children with life threatening illnesses or conditions in North Devon. Being a rural area, children have to travel to specialised hospitals to receive treatment and this is very costly to families. Some have to live for weeks or months juggling home life, siblings and work; even giving up work to look after their child. Care for kids helps these families with a grant to alleviate the financial pressure they would be under.”

“As this is the 10th year anniversary of Care for Kids North Devon Charity I thought it appropriate to do a different challenge to my normal events.”
